Tour: with Workshop

Education Course: Family First

Families with children in grades 1-6 are invited to join us the first Sunday of the month to explore Reynolda’s art and to make your own! These two-hour workshops begin at 2 p.m. for children attendees and an adult companion. We’ll spend time in the Museum exploring a work of art or decorative art, and then create our own artwork in the Reynolda studio classroom. Locations and prices may vary by workshop. Advance registration required. Contact Julia Tanner, julia@reynolda.org, with any questions.

Children should have at least one adult also registered for the workshop; at least 1 adult registration per three child registrations recommended. Both adults and children will make their own project unless otherwise stated.

Museum Admission: Online

Museum admission is good all day for the date selected for anytime between 9:30am-4:30pm. To select a different date or time, please click the link above. No backpacks or water bottles are allowed inside the museum.

Education Course: REVC0071-804500-HP0017:Reynolda Discovery Lessons

Reynolda Discovery Lessons promote reading readiness and visual literacy for preschoolers through dramatic play, music, movement, and artmaking, using a work of art or item from Reynolda's collection as a starting point. The program will take place indoors and outdoors. Advance registration is required.  Single-session classes are for 3-5 year olds and a caregiver.

Classes will take place in Lewisville at the Mary Alice Warren Community Center.

Tour the world’s largest bungalow and learn its stories, from a family home on a model farm to an American Art museum. You will learn about the people of Reynolda as well as experience masterpieces of American art.

Workshop: Mindfulness Program

2024-2025 Young Explorers

Join us to learn more about the natural world around us! Children will explore Reynolda's grounds while learning more through a variety of lessons. 

Young Explorers will earn a “badge” and a “field guide”. For ages 2-5 accompanied by an adult caretaker. Pre-registration is required; program is weather permitting.

Program: Curator Tour

Camel City: Tobacco and Transformation, 1875–1964 tells the story of how Winston-Salem grew from a small town into a major industrial city, led by the rise of the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. The exhibition showcases how the company transformed American business and advertising, while highlighting both its achievements and the inequalities of the tobacco industry.

Learn more about the complexities of this story with curators Bari Helms, archivist, and Phil Archer, Betsy Main Babcock Deputy Director. Space is limited.
