Families with children in grades 1-6 are invited to join us the first Sunday of the month to explore Reynolda’s art and to make your own! These two-hour workshops begin at 2 p.m. for children attendees and an adult companion. We’ll spend time in the Museum exploring a work of art or decorative art, and then create our own artwork in the Reynolda studio classroom. Locations and prices may vary by workshop. Children should have at least one adult also registered for the workshop; at least 1 adult registration per three child registrations recommended. Both adults and children will make their own project unless otherwise stated.

Reynolda opens its doors after hours to visitors 21+ for an evening of music, drinks, and art. Visit Reynolda’s new exhibition, Imogen Cunningham: Seen and Unseen, view the historic house featuring highlights from the permanent collection, and go on a scavenger hunt for a chance to win a prize. Make sure to visit onsite food trucks and enjoy a cocktail or two while you are here!

This event is weather permitting, and space is limited. Recommended children ages 6–18.
Homeschool students and teachers, join us at Reynolda House for art and history-based learning. In this self-directed exploration of Reynolda, you can explore the historic house and art collection. We’ll provide a guide booklet and questions to help you engage with the collections. Our museum guides will be available for questions and discussion. Visit the studio classroom to create an art project students can take home.
$6 per student aged 5-15; 20% discount for Museum Members (sign in to your account to order) or Friends of Reynolda Gardens at the Dual/Family level. One adult receives free admission per student ticket. Additional adults attending may pay general admission to visit the museum. (Payable at time of visit; library passes and other free categories apply for additional adult admission only).
Registration available at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on the day of the event, though we encourage pre-registration to receive more details before the event. Pre-purchase window closes at 3PM the day before. Activities available 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. (morning sessions) and 1 - 3 p.m. (afternoon session).

Reynolda Discovery Lessons promote reading readiness and visual literacy for preschoolers through dramatic play, music, movement, and artmaking, using a work of art or item from Reynolda's collection as a starting point. The program will take place indoors and outdoors. Advance registration is required. Single-session classes are for 3-5 year olds and a caregiver.

The Reynolda Quartet returns to Reynolda House for a concert of works for a string quartet. The Reynolda Quartet, consisting of UNCSA Music faculty-artists, was founded in 2019 as a partnership between two of Winston-Salem’s premier cultural organizations, Reynolda House Museum of American Art and UNCSA.
Join us to learn more about the natural world around us! Children will explore Reynolda's grounds while learning more through a variety of lessons.
Young Explorers will earn a “badge” and a “field guide”. For ages 2-5 accompanied by an adult caretaker. Pre-registration is required; program is weather permitting.
Founder’s Vision emphasizes the founder of Reynolda House Museum of American Art Barbara Babcock Millhouse’s collecting savvy over several decades, demonstrated in the two-dimensional and three-dimensional works by significant artists from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries on view.
