Families with children in grades 1-6 are invited to join us the first Sunday of the month to explore Reynolda’s art and to make your own! These two-hour workshops begin at 2 p.m. for children attendees and an adult companion. We’ll spend time in the Museum exploring a work of art or decorative art, and then create our own artwork in the Reynolda studio classroom. Locations and prices may vary by workshop. Children should have at least one adult also registered for the workshop; at least 1 adult registration per three child registrations recommended. Both adults and children will make their own project unless otherwise stated.

Reynolda opens its doors after hours to visitors 21+ for an evening of music, drinks, and art. View the historic house featuring highlights from the permanent collection, and go on a scavenger hunt for a chance to win a prize. Join us for story time at Reynolda! Held outdoors, every Reynolda Read Aloud is a new adventure filled with stories, songs, and suggested at-home readings. Pre-registration encouraged; for ages 2-5 accompanied by an adult caretaker.
Homeschool students and teachers, join us at Reynolda House for art and history-based learning. In this self-directed exploration of Reynolda, you can explore the historic house and art collection. We’ll provide a guide booklet and questions to help you engage with the collections. Our museum guides will be available for questions and discussion. Visit the studio classroom to create an art project students can take home.
$6 per student aged 5-15; 20% discount for Museum Members (sign in to your account to order) or Friends of Reynolda Gardens at the Dual/Family level. One adult receives free admission per student ticket. Additional adults attending may pay general admission to visit the museum. (Payable at time of visit; library passes and other free categories apply for additional adult admission only).
Registration available at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on the day of the event, though we encourage pre-registration to receive more details before the event. Pre-purchase window closes at 3PM the day before. Activities available 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. (morning sessions) and 1 - 3 p.m. (afternoon session).

Celebrate self-expression and empowerment with Reynolda during Community Day when museum admission is free for all. Performances and programming, including hands-on art activities, throughout the day will be inspired by the spring exhibition Stephen Towns: Declaration & Resistance. Big Bang Boom—a band that mixes genres to create music that is fun, parent-friendly, and educational—will perform at 11 a.m.

Reynolda Discovery Lessons promote reading readiness and visual literacy for preschoolers through dramatic play, music, movement, and artmaking, using a work of art or item from Reynolda's collection as a starting point. The program will take place indoors and outdoors. Advance registration is required. Single-session classes are for 3-5 year olds and a caregiver.

Tour the world’s largest bungalow and learn its stories, from a family home on a model farm to an American Art museum. You will learn about the people of Reynolda as well as experience masterpieces of American art.
If your favorite holiday is Halloween, then you and Katharine Reynolds have something in common. She loved the spookiest day of the year and so will you when you hear the 1917 Aeolian Organ play the spine tingling sounds of Halloween past. The bewitching begins in the Historic House at 2 p.m. so make sure you are there!
This after-hours family friendly event is sure to spark the magic of the season! Self-tour the historic house decorated in the style of the first Christmas at Reynolda in 1917 while festive songs play on the original Aeolian organ. Enjoy a hot chocolate bar and make holiday cards inspired by vintage cards belonging to the Reynolds family.

Nothing sparks the holiday season at Reynolda like an afternoon of Christmas caroling in the Reception Hall! Sing along with some of the season’s most beloved songs played on the 1917 Aeolian organ to get in the holiday spirit.
Advanced registration or singing experience are not required. The holiday merriment is open to all; included with the price of admission ($18.00 for adults); complimentary categories do apply.

Camel City: Tobacco and Transformation, 1875–1964 tells the story of how Winston-Salem grew from a small town into a major industrial city, led by the rise of the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. The exhibition showcases how the company transformed American business and advertising, while highlighting both its achievements and the inequalities of the tobacco industry.
