Homeschool Day: Morning Session

Thursday October 29

Other dates...

10:00 AM  –  12:00 PM

In this Homeschool Day at Reynolda, we’ll focus on American history through the Reynolda story and an art collection made up of works from the 18th-21st centuries. During this day for Homeschoolers, you can self-tour the Museum with a booklet to guide your learning and dive into bits of history. Museum guides will be available to ask and answer questions.  In the studio classroom, create your own abstract painting -- inspired by a truly American style of art.  Also tour the temporary exhibition Flash Point: The Civil Rights Photography of Danny Lyon to explore some powerful images of the Civil Rights Movement. Download our free app, Reynolda Revealed, for more Reynolda stories before, during, and after your visit.

Designed for students in grades K-12. Pre-registration encouraged; contact Julia Tanner at julia@reynolda.org with questions.

$6 per student aged 5-18 (Museum Members or Friends of Reynolda Gardens at the Dual/Family level receive a 20% discount). One adult free per student ticket. Additional adults pay general admission (payable at time of visit; library passes and other free categories apply).

Activities available 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. (morning session) and 1 - 3 p.m. (afternoon session).
