Afternoon Session:
Come visit Layered Looking: Making Sense of Art and explore many different pathways for engaging with works of art. This family-friendly exhibition includes art from Reynolda’s permanent collection including works by artists such as Georgia O’Keeffe, Jacob Lawrence, Stuart Davis, Frederic Remington, Alexander Calder, Minnie Evans and more.
With hands-on stations and prompts to get you thinking, art will come alive in new ways. We’ll have guides in the gallery to facilitate conversations with art and our Layered Looking Open Studio will be open for homeschool children and adults to create a work of art to take home. Families, we also welcome you to explore the grounds and Reynolda Village before or after your visit to the exhibition.
$5 per student aged 3-18; 20% discount for Museum Members (sign in to your account to order) or Friends of Reynolda Gardens at the Dual/Family level. One adult receives free admission per student ticket. Additional adults attending may pay general admission to visit the museum. (Payable at time of visit; library passes and other free categories apply for additional adult admission only).
